Content Update

It has been some time since I've been able to develop website content. For this I apologize. Let's just say, like so many others, 2020 was a difficult year. But now it's 2021 and I've resumed work on the website. I've been able to resume limited research and naturally, this results in new content. Lately, I've been focusing my attention to the ground campaigns and units the 12th supported during World War 1. I am reasonably certain I've nailed down the when and where the 12th supported those ground units. You might ask why I am burning so much energy on ground units when the 12th was an air unit. It's a good question. The men of the 12th in their letters and diaries were keenly aware their sole purpose was to support the troops on the ground. Understanding the ground situation is important to understanding the pressures and motivation of the 12th's aircrews.

Thus far I've managed to update the Ground Units Supported page with all the units I've identified. That's a total of nine US Army Divisions. Each graphic representing a division links to other sites providing additional information about that unit. Quality and depth of content varies, but it is a sufficient stop gap until my research catches up. In the future I'll be updating the campaigns page and providing more information about how the 12th participated in those ground battles. If any of you have suggestions on better content links for the Infantry Division section, please message me here.
