In addition to regular posts, TwelfthRecon is beginning a new weekly series following the 12th Aero Squadron as it fights in World War I, a hundred years ago.
Date: 25-29 April 1918
Located in Amanty, France under the command of Maj Lewis Hyde Brereton, the 12th Aero Squadron begins preparing for combat. On this day 25 April, Aerial Observers begin arriving at the squadron.
They will continue to stream in over the next five days.
